As a B&Q designate manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to learn about us and our business, typically spending 3-6 months working across a cluster of stores (in the Glasgow area). You’ll experience management training in various store formats before being placed into your own department or store.
Due to the nature of this role, there’ll be some flexibility and travel required during your time as a designate, before being placed within a store that matches your experience within 50 miles of where you live.

Required skills & experience
An experienced retail leader with bags of ideas and a creative streak, you’ll feel right at home with us. You’re a natural motivator with brilliant people skills and the ability to lead by example when it comes to customer service. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re flexible enough to cover bank holidays, evenings and weekends too. And, above all, you know how to create an environment where team members feel supported, valued, and encouraged to offer ideas.
