Role Overview & Responsibilities

To plan, provide and develop specialist Arts Therapies including assessment, treatment and evaluation of individual and group work using own Arts Therapies modality (Art, Music, Drama or Dance Movement). Including transformation and neighbourhood
  • Evaluate work on an ongoing basis with an emphasis on using appropriate service user reported experience and outcome measures to measure and demonstrate effectiveness.
  • Manage and supervise allocated staff, including trainees
  • Regularly undertake Quality Improvement, Research and Audit
  • Provide a range of teaching and training to multi-professional staff, service users and carers as required
  • Take a designated role in local service leadership and development
Senior Art Therapist

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Art Psychotherapist to join City and Hackney neighbourhood services. The post holder will work with complex cases and also take responsibility for linking inpatient therapy and neighbourhood teams together. The idea candidate will work alongside the other senior therapist and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining supportive and robust working relationships. You will have an experienced and proactive team of Art Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists and assistants and will provide clinical interventions and support regarding patient care, professional supervision and staff development.
This is a great opportunity to expand your clinical skills within a supportive and friendly environment. You will be required to be an effective team player with excellent communication and evaluation skills, as well as the proven ability to plan, develop and evaluate services
