The role:
To provide a professional and pro-active health advisory service to all students and to provide advice and guidance relating to specific student health issues to relevant staff. To promote Health and Wellbeing across the College.
- Part-time 22 hours per week
- Term-time (40 weeks per annum)
- Permanent
- Pro-Rata Salary: £16,626 - £19,341
- 1 x Gorseinon and 1 x Tycoch (please state in your application if you have a preferred campus location)
Key Responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver a monthly Health Promotion programme, tailored to address known relevant health issues, e.g. sexual health, healthy lifestyles, smoking
- To liaise closely with faculty staff, the Learner Experience and Wellbeing Manager and the Learner Support Co-ordinator in assessing the medical and support needs of students with learning, physical and mental health needs.
- To ensure all trips are monitored for medical conditions and trip leaders are aware of any condition and how to support if required
About you:
- Registered Nurse on relevant part of the register.
- Experience of working with young people
- Ability to seek and arrive at positive solutions to problems
