JOB DESCRIPTION
SOCIAL WORKER
Salary:
£32,306 - £39,027 (Band 6 Social Worker scale)
Hours:
36 hrs per week
Contract:
One Year Contract with immediate effect, and with a view to a possible extension based on the needs of the College.
Responsible to:
The Principal through the Vice-Principals & Designated Teacher for Safeguarding and Child Protection.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a recognised professional Social Work qualification
- Registered with NISCC
- Current full driving licence with access to a car on appointment
- Have 3 years post qualifying experience
- Experience of multidisciplinary working with children and families
- Are committed to regular supervision and complete Professionals in Practice (PIP) requirements in line with NISCC registration
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the specific challenges of Children who are looked after in a school setting
- Can demonstrate and understanding of the specific challenges of vulnerable children in a school setting
Desirable Criteria:
- Have experience working with a range of stakeholders, including community and voluntary organisations
- Can demonstrate high impact could be measured in the role
