2023 Level 2 Apprentice Chef, not just 1, 2, 3 BUT 4 opportunities!
We are a bit bloody excited about our newly created (in collaboration with Truro College, Steins & St Austell Brewery) & nationally recognised Level 2 Chef Apprenticeships.
We have 2 apprenticeships available.
A bit about our apprenticeship...
Taking a minimum of 12 months, our apprentices get to:
1. Learn! Our apprentices are trained, coached & mentored by some of our best chefs, including our kitchen’s big boss our Head of Food.
2. Work! Our apprentices get to work for & alongside our team of kitchen & restaurant legends.
1. Study! Starting the 24th of February 2023 our apprentices head to Truro College every other Friday (during term time) & study alongside apprentices from Steins & St Austell Brewery. Study & practice will focus on getting knowledgeable & comfortable in kitchen operations, nutrition, the rules, regs & standards of kitchens, teamwork, business skills & being your best self in your career (whatever that might be & wherever it might take you).
3. Earn! We pay our apprentices £9.50 per hour whilst they learn, work & study!
4. Achieve! Learn, work & study to graduate with a Nationally recognised Level 2 qualification & if you want a well-earned spot amongst our team to further grow & develop your career.

You don’t need to have done anything like this before, but you do need to be super keen to work in a high-energy, hard-fun kitchen that truly cares about the quality & provenance of the produce & the food it sends out, & most importantly a desire to learn, study & achieve.

Once you’ve applied, we will:
1. We will take a good look at what you have shared with us to get an initial feel of who you are, what makes you, you & why you want to give an apprenticeship a go.
2. If we feel that you might be great for this opportunity, we will arrange to have an initial chat with you to find out more. If we don’t feel that you are right, right now, we will (if you want it) give you feedback.
3. If your initial chat goes well, we will invite you in for an interview (don’t worry we are not scary). You should know that as much as this is for us to get to know you better, it is for you to get to know us too.
4. All being well at the interview, we will invite you in asap for a taster shift.
5. Upon completion of your taster shift, we always love to hear what you think, we will provide you with feedback & depending on how that goes, we will hopefully be able to offer you the apprenticeship, welcome you to the Hub Box team & get you started with us. P.S. We will also feed you at the end of your taster shift, regardless of whether you join us or not.
