Job role: Communications Assistant

Location: Inclusion Hampshire, Basingstoke and Hook, Hampshire

Contract: Part-time – 10 hours per week, permanent contract (term-time only)

Salary: £21,000 pro rata

Immediate start (depending on successful candidate)

This exciting new role is to support the delivery of communications for a growing education charity, with particular focus on our two education settings, Inclusion School and Inclusion College.
Working closely with the Communications Development Manager you will be primarily responsible for digital content for the School and college including social media channels and websites.
As a small charity, you will be supporting a range of communications and events activities including creating content for service newsletters, supporting and attending events and promoting the activities of the charity as required.
We are looking for a motivated self- starter with a keen eye for detail and ability to write consistent and quality content in a timely fashion as well as an understanding of design requirements.
This is a new role and has the potential to grow and develop.

Specific Duties
● Maintain and update the School and college websites in line with organisation branding and
guidelines
● Maintain and develop the organisation’s social media channels
● Support scheduling of communications output and calendar with the Communications Manager
● Monitor and develop local and national opportunities for activity and promotion with influencers,
organisations and events.
● Take and store relevant images inline with organisation guidelines
● Report media monitoring stats monthly – social, website and print media.
● Produce and distribute monthly stakeholders newsletters.
● Support of events, campaigns and activities as required.
● Attend meetings as required
● Some evening and weekend working may be required

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

Salary: From £21,000.00 per year
