We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Receptionist 5 shifts (40 hours) per week to join our highly successful team at the Inn on The Prom Hotel Based on St Annes Promenade . Working a mixture of Monday-Sunday shifts - to include Evening (2.30pm - 10.30pm), Middle (10am-6pm) and Early shifts (7.30am-3.30pm) shift per week.
You should have a warm, personable nature, can do attitude and eye for details.
You will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of our established standards.

Responsible for
- Provide a warm, vibrant welcome to all guests on their arrival.
- Assist guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner with registration (ensuring any special requirements are noted) and check out.
- Take every opportunity to upsell F&B facilities, including meetings and events.
- Demonstrate full knowledge of the hotel’s facilities
- Deal efficiently with all reservation requests, confirmation of bookings and special requests.
- Have full knowledge of rates and terms of business and take every opportunity to upsell rooms with the aim of achieving maximum occupancy at maximum rate.
- Deal with complaints politely and positively making every effort to resolve there and then; refer to Reception Manager / Deputy General Manager if unable resolve. * Operate the telephones/switchboard to brand standard ensuring all messages are handled correctly and conveyed swiftly.
- Be aware of and operate hotel cash handling, security and emergency procedures and report any discrepancies immediately to the Reception Manager.
- Be able to deal with reservation requests, confirmation of bookings and special requests.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel rates and terms of business.
- Support all members of the Reception Team to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level.
- Attend briefing and de-briefing sessions whilst on shift.
- Attend monthly Reception meeting.
- Be aware of health and safety procedures within the department.
- Carry out administration tasks on a regular basis including filing etc.
- Assist with keeping all front of house areas clean and tidy, clearing away any crockery/glassware etc.
