Botanical Horticulturist

RBG Kew’s Living Collection is arguably the most diverse plant collection in cultivation in the world. This role, working as part of the Plant Health and Quarantine team, involves growing high standard plant material for display, conservation purposes and scientific research.

In this role, you'll be part of the team cultivating and maintaining the collections in the Jodrell Glasshouse range on a daily basis.

More details

You should have an eye for detail and a passion for plants. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for a range of temperate, tender and tropical plants, ideally in a botanic garden or similar.

To be successful in this role you'll need to be a team player and also be able to work on your own initiative. You will be able to discuss plants and project proposals with Kew scientists and with Display House supervisors.

You'll need to have a horticultural qualification equivalent to NVQ level 2 or the equivalent experience.

The salary will be £24,252 per annum (pro rata).
