Permanent Part Time 21 hours - working a roster pattern of 3 days on 3 days off (consisting of early shifts starting from 0300 / 0400hrs and afternoon shifts starting anytime from 1200hrs)
This is a customer facing role in which you will be required;
- To carry out full and effective searches of baggage and airport supplies
- To carry out full and effective searches of people
- To carry out full and effective searches of vehicles
- Undertake patrols of the airport terminal & grounds
- To control access into restricted areas of the Airport
- Check identification or travel documents for all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access to restricted areas
- Deal with on-site security incidents with the team
- Operate the x-ray equipment to screen all luggage for both the cabin and hold including other items being carried into restricted areas
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers travelling through the airport
- Help with other departments at the airport if/when required
Applicant competencies required are:
- Fluent English language capability, both written and spoken;
- Excellent Interpersonal and customer service awareness and skills;
- Attention to detail
- Smart appearance;
- Punctuality;
Applicant Criteria:-
Full five year checkable work history. Full details and dates of all periods of employment/unemployment/education must be given on the application form for the past 5 years.
Must have valid Passport/Drivers License.
Must be resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to obtain government clearance
