Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual to join our team as a Trainee/Qualified Dental Nurse at our private dental practice.

As part of Rhiwbina Dental Surgery, you’ll be joining South Wales largest Specialist Practice. We offer a range of specialist treatments for our patient’s which keep your working day varied and interesting. Advanced training in specialist treatments such as Endodontics, Oral Surgery and Periodontal Surgery will be provided for the right candidate.

As a CPD providing practice we regularly hold Study Clubs and Training Days that provide free CPD for employees.

The position involves: -

- Providing compassionate care and support for our patients

- Supporting the dentist in the provision of quality dental care by the mixing of materials, assisting with procedures and decontamination of the dental surgery

- Using SOE computerised system to log notes and carry out some administrative tasks

- Carrying out decontamination of instruments

- Ensuring patient care and journey is kept at a fantastic standard

Access to funded post qualification courses will be available to expand your skills. These courses include: -

- Removal of Sutures

- Digital impression scanning using state of the art equipment

- Manual impression taking

- Phlebotomy

- Dental radiography

- Fluoride Application

Salary: Competitive rates of pay/salary dependent on experience

Days and time to be discussed during your interview - (will include Saturday work on rotation)
