Purchasing & Quality Assurance Specialist
Summary
The Purchasing & Quality Assurance Specialist oversees the Global supply chain and manufacturing purchasing, of raw materials, packaging, supplies & equipment parts, strategic sourcing, negotiating pricing, contracts & terms and quality control and assurance.
- Plan and achieve strategic sourcing goals.
- Manage material planning and procurements by ensuring that materials are properly ordered, processed, and delivered on time.
- Conduct material pricing research amongst vendors and negotiate terms considering lead-times, operational capacity, delivery, and payment terms.
- validate and manage all ocean / air freights, import documents, U.S. custom, brokers including tariff accuracy.
- This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire cycle of the purchase order,
- Track and resolve production material shortages.
- Maintain updated records of purchase orders, receipt of delivery, purchase order invoices, and shipping fees.
- Make sure the company is in compliance on all aspects of Quality Assurance to keep our certification intact.
- Make sure the quality control of the product is to our specs.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook
- Knowledge using Database ERP systems such as Macola
- Professional communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to analyze and interpret Data
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
Education/Experience preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or some college degree plus work experience
- 2+ years in a purchasing or business-related environment
- Knowledge in Quality control and assurance
