JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: ICT Support Coordinator Seaford College, Lavington Park, Petworth, West Sussex GU28 0NB NO AGENCIES PLEASE

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure the reliable and secure operation of ICT Systems, specifically: Academic Teaching, Software, Data, ICT Compliance and Telephony. Manage the Helpdesk system, guarantee ticket SLAs and direct the ICT Support team in their day-to-day tasks. Liaise with the ICT Services Coordinator to ensure departmental cohesion.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain and develop platforms and systems – including network devices, security, data protection, Office 365, print management, mobile device management, physical and virtual servers, and WiFi

· Lead the ICT Support team and promote first-class customer service

· Ensure that Helpdesk ticket SLAs are adhered to, within reason

· Provision of first-class technical support for all Staff, Students, Parents and visitors

· Ensure that team members follow the agreed ticket escalation protocol

· Ensure fair distribution of helpdesk tickets and related tasks

· Implement the ICT strategy and service provision, including all aspects of ICT technical support

· Work with the ICT Services team to facilitate the installation and maintenance of software and hardware

· Maintain up-to-date records of all Seaford equipment

· Procure ICT equipment with consideration of budgets and competitive pricing strategies

· Identify potential staff training opportunities and support the HoD in their delivery

· Oversee the database of users, network access rights, and Group Policy and Active Directory

· Support the HoD in scoping, managing and delivering projects

· Maintain a secure and up-to-date knowledge of all ICT systems, services and related documentation in the school

· Take an active role in the Academic ICT Strategy group as directed

HEALTH AND SAFETY

· To promote the safeguarding and welfare of pupils and young people as set out in the school's safeguarding policy

· Undertake all tasks in conjunction with Seaford College's Health and Safety Policies, adhere to all Risk Assessments, and undertake all work to a safe and excellent standard

· To ensure management and monitoring of all health and safety issues and close reporting and communications with the Head of the Department

TEAMWORK

· Be an active member of the ICT and Operations teams with input into meetings and the vision of the school

· To engage and work with team members, staff and associates of the college, showing a professional manner

· To maintain and improve on skills/CPD relevant to the role

· To undertake such other tasks pertinent to the work or needs of the school as may be reasonably requested

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Demonstratable experience of:

· 2nd Line ICT support, or extensive experience in 1st Line and expertise in IT and people management skills

· Educational environments

· Team leader or Management roles

· Budget management and procurement

Knowledge of:

· Windows and Apple OS

· Office 365 and Desktop

· Wireless Solutions, such as Ruckus, UniFi

· Windows Server - Active Directory, Group Policy, and other core WS functions

· Virtual Server platforms, such as VMware, Azure

Ability to:

· Explain technical information to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and IT literacy

· Diplomatically provide information, advice and guidance on complex ICT issues, such as software compatibility

· Manage people, lead a team

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Experience or Knowledge of:

· Independent schools

· Extended Windows server tools

· Networking Protocols, Switching & Routing

· Switch configuration

· NAS and SAN systems

· MIS (Management Information Systems) such as SIMs, iSAMS

· LMS (Learning Management Systems) such as Firefly, Moodle, Canvas

· MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions, such as Jamf, DataJar, Meraki

Salary: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
