Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the Berkshire region who are seeking a Paralegal to join their Adults & Education legal team. Please find below further details with regards to this position.
ROLE: Adult Social Care & Education Paralegal
LOCATION: Berkshire / hybrid working
RATE: DOE - £17.00 to £20.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension
Please note that this role is hybrid working
The Role
- To provide legal services in relation to the team's caseload commensurate to role under the supervision and direction of the Principal Lawyer
- To bulk of the caseloads will be related to Education and Adult Social Care and may also include some Housing Law matters
- To provide business management and administration support
- To advise orally and in writing to Officers and Members where appropriate.
The Person
- A law-related qualification (LPC / LLM / LLB) or qualified by relevant experience would be essential for this position
- Previous experience of dealing with Adult Law and Education Law would be essential for this role
- Public sector experience would be highly desirable but not essential
- A strong team player with good communication skills would also be required
