As a member of our team as a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be a key ingredient in the success of our busy kitchen and will thrive on the pace and camaraderie. As a Kitchen Porter you will take pride in the operation along with a team of talented, supportive experienced chefs, driven by the love of food as well assisting with the open, running and closing of the kitchen.
Life in the kitchen is busy, but exciting and rewarding.
Responsibilities
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised
- Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and end of shifts
- Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
- Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
- Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organised
- Take out the rubbish
- Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
Requirements:
- Ability to remain calm and take direction
- Good communication skills
- Driving licence
Please note as part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake a trial shift.
