About the Role: The Community Spirit team’s expertise is in detecting behaviours in language. We operate on all of the user generated text on Twitch, with a major focus being the live chat in streams. The team produces a variety of language models that detect things like hate speech, sexual content, bullying, etc. as well as more serious types of harms. We work closely with our partners on the Customer Trust team to ensure users have a safe and satisfying experience while using Twitch. You Will: Design, build, and maintain performant, reliable natural language processing/understanding services and applications Produce clean, high-quality code, tests, and documentation Actively contribute to code and design reviews with peers and partners Work across teams and organisations to deliver value to our creators and viewers
- Experience or familiarity with the AWS ecosystem of services (EC2, ECS, Dynamo, CDK, etc)
- Experience or familiarity building with GraphQL APIs
- Experience writing Go in production-ready systems
- Experience with rapid prototyping of NLP/NLU systems in Python
