Key duties and responsibilities....
- Goods in: Scheduling, safe unloading and efficient storage (including the most efficient use of two separate warehouses and related stock movement between)
- Goods out: Efficient and accurate order picking and timely despatch through holding team members accountable for on time-in full delivery
- Manage all costing/updating of stock in/returns including imported goods and processing related backorders
- Responsibility for accurate stock control, reconciliation of stock-takes discrepancies and management of a regular rolling stock take regime
- Promote and adhere to the company values to ensure full commitment to the company and customers
- Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehousing operation contributes to these
- Produce reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Process claim forms for missing goods and carriage claims for failed delivery charges
- Warehouse Maintenance and Health & Safety Compliance
- Control of warehouse costs budget for packaging supplies, fork truck and other machines operation and servicing, pallets, racking and storage
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Be flexible to do whatever it takes to satisfy the requirements of the company and the customers
