The Role
As a Warehouse Operative / Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining a tidy and orderly warehouse and ensuring processes within our warehouse run smoothly.
Using forklift (counterbalance and flexi) trucks to load and unload stock, you will ensure the warehouse is fully stocked and products are well organised and picked, ready for assembly by the required deadline.
You will also support our production activities by making delivering and collecting goods from our suppliers enabling projects to be completed on time.
Additionally, you will:
- Maintain the computerised inventory control system to keep a record of all stock
- Conduct regular stock takes and assist with annual stock takes
- Provide training and support to new employees and agency staff
- Conduct daily checks of vehicles
- Ensure requirements for health and safety policies and procedures are met
About You
To join us as a Warehouse Operative / Driver, you will need:
- Experience working within an engineering and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience carrying out stock takes
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of warehousing and storage processes and procedures
- Good customer focus with excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft packages and MRP systems
- Manual handling training
- A full, valid driving licence held for a minimum of two years
