Role Overview & Responsibilities

Woven Inc Ltd are looking for an embroidery operator to join the team.

We have an immediate start position available on a full time permanent position.

You will be responsible for running an array of Happy Machines, ranging from single header through to 4, 8 & 12 headed machines. On some occasions more than one machine if needed for 2D and 3D embroidery of many different sizes, setting up, running and maintaining the embroidery machines along with the following:

  • Loading Correct DST Files.
  • Checking job sheets for relevant information including, logos, sizes, products.
  • Capabilities of using a computer to upload your own files.
  • Checking the correct stock is in place.
  • Loading templates on the computer systems
  • Changing thread colours ready for production.
  • Framing material ready for embroidery
  • Setting the embroidery machine to the correct functions and loading with the correct colour threads.
  • Garment finishing such as Tearing away backing, folding, bagging and packing garments
  • Maintenance of equipment including replacing needles, cleaning and oiling machinery & re-ordering thread to maintain correct stock levels.

Quality control of your own work and cross referencing others.

The essential skills for this role require attention to detail to ensure frames are in correct positions and that they are straight. Forward thinking be prepared for further jobs. Ability to correctly read a job sheet. Flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile. Punctuality, planning and time management.

The role has other avenues of working in any of our finishing services.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Hourly Rate Starting From minimum wage based on age and experience.

Holidays: All Bank Holidays + 20 Days Full Pay for a full year.
Full Uniform Provided.
On The Job Training Provided.
Overtime on occasion (very rare).
On Site Parking

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Salary: From £10.42 per hour
